About the Role

Substitute Bus Aide Position and Van Shuttle Driver Bus aides ride the bus and assure a safe and orderly ride. They

assist students with seating, assistive devices, safety and behavioral concerns. They provide the driver with support as

needed, both during routine activities and during emergencies. Aides may serve as a substitute driver when required. Van

shuttle drivers will transport students with the school assigned van. Must be able to pass a background check with no

criminal history. Enjoy working with children of all ages and be sensitive to their needs. Able to understand and have

empathy for persons with disabilities. Must establish and maintain effective communication with those contacted in the
