About the Role
SHELBY HEALTH & REHABILITATION (An Optalis Center) Our Cooks prepare nourishing meals for our residents and ensure the
highest quality of standards of food service. Cooks work closely with the Dietary Manager to create and review menu
items that meet the nutrition needs of each individual resident. Job Tasks include, but are not limited to: Follow
recipes and prepare foods that correspond to menu cycles prepared by the dietary manager and dietitian, including
therapeutic and modified consistency diets. Cook or prepare delicious, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in
institutional quantities of supplies & equipment. Ensure meals are appealing, appetizing and nutritionally sound. Work
