Material Handler

About the Role

Material Handlers of Linen under the direction of Supply Chain Management receives, stores, collects, tracks, and

transports linen (sterile, clean and/or soiled) throughout SJMHS including off-site clinic and satellite locations.

Routinely utilizes computer, tracking software, handheld units, and associated Supply Chain equipment. May be assigned

to a linen delivery route and driving a cargo truck. Must operate the truck in a safe manner and abide by all Michigan

driving laws. Driving responsibilities include performing Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI), monitoring

physical condition of the truck, and filling truck with gas. Transports and delivers equipment, linen, scrubs, and
